Container Locks with and without Indicators
Maintaining the sterility of surgical instruments during transport and storage from the Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) to the operating room is a critical requirement. Sterivision Container Locks seal sterilization container lids, prevent unauthorized access, and provide assurance that the lid has not been opened before reaching the operating room. This supports complete security and verifiable control throughout the hospital infection-control chain.
Highly resistant to temperature, steam, vacuum, and pressure changes inside the autoclave, our locks are available as container locks with indicators and container locks without indicators. Indicator models use a Class 1 chemical indicator to show through a clear color change that the set has been exposed to a sterilization cycle. The lock therefore acts both as a physical tamper-evident seal and as reliable process confirmation.
All Sterivision container locks are strong enough to resist accidental breakage during transport and storage, yet ergonomically designed so operating-room personnel can open them in one action without scissors or additional tools. Compatible with standard sterilization container systems, they provide an essential finishing element for a secure CSSD workflow.
