About Us

SteriVision was established in Ankara in 2022 with the aim of manufacturing sterilization consumables and launched its dynamic production line within the same year. Despite being a young and forward-thinking company, we have quickly established ourselves as a trusted brand in the international market, exporting our products to more than 30 countries.

Behind our success is a team of experts with more than 10 years of industry experience across marketing, export, and production processes. Thanks to this extensive expertise, we understand the needs of sterilization units and end users down to the finest detail, and we shape our R&D and production processes entirely around these requirements.

About Sterilization

We have compiled answers to frequently asked questions regarding the use of our products, their compliance with international standards, and their application in your sterilization cycles.

Chemical Indicators verify that the critical parameters of a specific sterilization cycle—such as steam, EO, or plasma—have been achieved, including temperature, exposure time, and, where applicable, saturated steam conditions.

Type 6 indicators are among the highest-level chemical indicators, designed to respond to all critical parameters of a specified sterilization cycle. However, a color change only confirms that the required physical process conditions have been met. To verify the inactivation of viable microorganisms and assess the effectiveness of the sterilization process microbiologically, Biological Indicators should be used.

The primary difference is the incubation time. Rapid Biological Indicators, such as those providing results in 20 minutes or 1 hour, are incubated using a dedicated Rapid Incubator and deliver results in a significantly shorter time. This enables faster decision-making and can help facilitate the timely release and use of sterilized equipment when required.

Conventional Biological Indicators, such as 24-hour BIs, are used with standard incubators and require a longer incubation period.

At Sterivision, we offer suitable solutions for both rapid and conventional Biological Indicator applications.

The most important factors when selecting a sterilization reel are the type and size of the item to be sterilized, as well as the sterilization method to be used.

Gusset Reels provide additional internal space and are particularly suitable for bulky or thicker instrument sets. Flat Reels, on the other hand, are generally ideal for individual or flat instruments.

For both types, it is essential that the medical-grade paper and film used comply with applicable standards, including EN 868, to help ensure packaging performance and compatibility with the sterilization process.

The Bowie-Dick Test Pack is used in steam sterilizers (autoclaves) to evaluate the effectiveness of air removal and the penetration of saturated steam. It is a critical test for confirming that air has been adequately removed from the sterilizer chamber and replaced by steam.

The test should be performed daily, before the first sterilization cycle, as well as after major repairs, maintenance, or interventions that may affect the sterilizer’s performance.
