The Formaldehyde Helix Test System (With PCD / Complete Kit) is a high-security monitoring set specifically engineered to evaluate the performance of low-temperature steam and formaldehyde (LTSF) sterilization processes. It seamlessly simulates the penetrating capability of formaldehyde gas to verify whether it reaches the deepest distal lumens of complex cannulated surgical instruments. By utilizing the included test challenge device (PCD) in conjunction with formaldehyde-sensitive chemical indicator strips, the system challenges the uniform distribution of the microbicidal sterilant across all internal surfaces. Following the cycle, the permanent, irreversible color transition observed on the indicator strip provides central sterile supply departments (CSSD) with definitive proof of a successfully completed cycle.
